I have attempted a small test like resizing the header logo, and changing the product names, the changes specifically affect the dwt file. That design uses a home page that is not attached to the dwt file as the layout is not the same as the inner pages - there should be a note about that in the PDF file that comes with the download.
The dwt file is used to make global changes on all the inner pages whilst the home page would need to be edited separately. Andy Please feel free to review / rate our software Hi Andy, Yes, I did download the help file and did read this however I'm not understanding what I should expect from which pages?
To avoid confusion, it is good practice NOT to save other elements of your site (image source files or HTML documents) inside the Templates folder. When a file is applied to an existing page or created new from a template, the following code is inserted in the source: To view the HTML source code that Dreamweaver generates, choose Window HTML.
The path above replaces the normal HTML source that would appear on a new page.

This path sends the browser to look in the correct location for the file which will provide the page properties, layout, and graphics—all the content that exists only in the file.
This is why changes outside the editable regions of a page must be made directly to the file.
